In 1959, the little known Vince Lombardi, who then was assistant coach of the New York Giants, was hired as the new head coach of the Green Bay Packers. Offered here is the original contract for the sale of his New Jersey home and the original check to Lombardi for the 10 percent down payment. Each document features beautiful signatures of Vince and his wife, Marie. Vince signed his full name (Vincent T. Lombardi) which we have never seen before. Packers legendary executive, Verne Lewellen signed the house contract twice. Now, Titletown Nostalgia is known for getting rare Packers memorabilia, but this lot takes the cake! WOW!
